Class Photo

The sculpture & environmental art class of 2013 (3rd year) on the steps of the famous mackintosh building - the glasgow school of art. This year has gone by so quickly!

Grouse

Decided to take a brief departure from figurative sculpture and model some scottish wildlife including this grouse! I'm excited to try out a new patina I've been working on for this piece.

Commission

Here's Eric with his brand - new torso sculpture. This took me about a month to complete including time to dry and fire and patina a gorgeous aged bronze.

Portrait Sketch

This little portrait sketch took me about 20 minutes to rough out. About half life size and in buff crank clay it's been hollowed out and cured ready for firing!

Alexandria Sculpture Visit

I visited the vale of leven academy on the trail of a rumour  -  it was the site of one of Benno Schotz's last commissions. Expecting portraits or something similar, for which he was famous, the work turned out to be a very large and ethereal abstract welded bronze sculpture formation!
